Curds & Whey - Allerdale

Allerdale is an award winning, semi-hard goats’ cheese, with a moist, friable texture and a clean, sweet almondy flavour when young. This gives way to a crumbly texture and a sweeter nutty finish as it matures. Made with unpasteurised milk, it is hand made in open vats, pressed, then bound in cloth to mature for up to 5 months. Allerdale is produced in Cumbria and has been made for over 40 years.
