I sell high quality traditional cheeses, sourcing much locally, such as Dovedale Blue, Derby, Staffordshire, Hartington Stilton and Sparkenhoe Red Leicester. My cheese are mainly from smaller dairies, often from unpasteurised milk, although some use pasteurised. A few of the more traditional cheeses are made with animal rennet,but most use vegetarian rennet. I attend regional food events, such as the Derbyshire Food Festival and stand at farmers markets, encouraging people to shop locally.
Since June 2017 I have owned Staffordshire Cheese Company, and now produce a variety of local cheeses near Leek in the Staffordshire Moorlands. I make Dovedale Blue, Buxton Blue and of course Staffordshire! We won gold, silver and bronze awards for our cheeses at Melton Mowbray Artisan Cheese Awards in 2018.
