Ballysugagh Farm

54 Mearne Road, Downpatrick, Downpatrick, County Down, BT30 7HZ

Ballysugagh Eggs started in May 2020 for Cliodnà’s 26th birthday, where she was gifted ten hens. The townland in which our farm is situated in is called ‘Ballysugagh’ so it was decided to name the business of the land that looks after the ladies. With working from home from the start of the pandemic Cliodna invested all her extra time into growing her flock and now in February 2021 she has just over 200 hens and 20 ducks in her families fifth generation farm. Within the free-range flock there are around seven different breeds of hens for different colouring of eggs. The hens are very happy to hunt through fields all day everyday in search for the perfect worm. Cliodnà’s aim is to get today's eggs on the shop shelves tomorrow giving customers the best quality free range fresh eggs. In the next coming months you will also be able to purchase quail eggs along with a bigger amount of duck eggs, we are growing at a rapid rate!

We try wherever possible to reuse clean cartons and would be grateful if you could return your empty cartons to the market the next week so we can recycle. Trying to do our bit for the environment. :)
