Bambú (Living Sustainably) - Organic Black Rice

The Organic Black Rice is flavorsome and delicious. It takes a little longer to cook compared to white rice but it's worth it. Simply add some chopped garlic, onions, a bay leaf and a bit of vegetable stock to the water prior to steaming. Once done, mix well and season to taste with a little salt, pepper, and some good quality olive oil. It goes great with a vegetable or meat stew. If you love rice and want to impress someone with something a bit out of ordinary without too much effort, this may do the trick.
Steaming the rice tend to retain more nutrients than boiling and draining the water, but do wash the rice prior to cooking.
