The Merchant Princes is a women led, West Cork Brand, created by Alexis and her partner Chef Chloe!
We offer our very unique, very delicious homemade seasonal range, available only in farmers markets, including:
-Sea salt Breton Caramel
-Spiced Rum Caramel
- Chili, fresh orange and Cointreau Belgian chocolate sauce
-Wild Garlic Pesto
-Beetroot Hummus
-Sugar free, plastic free, Organic Herbal Tea blends that help with sleep, detox, promote calmness and immunity.
As a matter of principle, we avoid plastic (all our products come in glass jars with 20cent return discount), and we avoid the use of gluten and unsustainable palm oil. For preservatives we rely on Maldon sea salt, honey, fresh (!) lemon and lime juice, and high quality alcohol such as Cointreau or Irish Whiskey.
Our food is a fusion of French sauces with an Irish twist and using Irish local ingredients.
Our teas explore Ireland's ancient knowledge and lore of herbal remedies.
Our name, 'The Merchant Princess', celebrates the history of the Women of Cork, and their part in its rich Merchant and Maritime past.
