This is our British native species of Thyme (and our namesake!).
A charming evergreen groundcover with a creeping habit. Equally useful in the kitchen garden where its aromatic leaves are used in Mediterranean dishes and as an ornamental between paving stones or grown in a flowering lawn.
Prefers a sunny, well-drained site and is drought tolerant once established.
Whorls of pretty pale pink flowers smother the plant in summer and are adored by bees.
