The highly fragrant flowers produced over an extremely long flowering period ( April throught to September) and evergreen, ovate dark green leaves have earned this plant a well deserved AGM (Award of Garden Merit).
A fully hardy, vigorous climber, it will rapidly clothe an arch or trellis and looks superb trained through the branches of a tree. It will thrive in any aspect, in any soil, in sun or part shade but, would like it to be well drained. As with all Honeysuckles, they like their feet to stay cool but, aren't as fussy about their heads. A large stone or upturned pot placed on the soil above the roots is a good way to keep them happy if planting in full sun.
The flowers open creamy-white and fade to golden yellow and the more the plant is cut back, the more flowers it will produce.
Ultimate height 4 - 8m after 10years.
