Weavers Wines is the home to Castle Gate Gin.

The adventure started with Mary, who is one half of the 5th generation to own and run wine and spirit merchants, Weavers of Nottingham in the centre of Nottingham’s high street where this spirit of Nottingham was born. Inspired by Nottinghamshire's very own Sherwood Forest, this award-winning Castle Gate Gin really is a taste of home.

This fruit driven gin was inspired by the family's nostalgia of strawberry picking as children. This marriage with light touches of lavender is a winning combination, especially on a hot summers day!

The nose is filled with strawberries which carries through to the palate. This is paired with delicate touches of lavender which offers a light floral character. The acorn gin base gives a nuttiness in the backdrop that is consistent to the Castle Gate style.

This gin works wonderfully with an elderflower tonic and a fresh mint garnish.
