A wholemeal sourdough made entirely with locally grown organic wholegrain, milled at Tuxford Windmill. Nutty, malty and soft, this loaf will keep for up to a week and can be refreshed in a warm oven.
This bread is our signature loaf at Small Food Bakery, much loved due to the very special population of wheat seeds that go into it - its the perfect example of a sovereign local food system, the seed has been designed for low input organic farms, it is bio diverse, rather than a variety and responds well to challenges of climate and pests without the need for chemical inputs or interventions.
