Black Badger carlin peas have a distinctive deep brown colour and delcious nutty flavour.

Grown in Britain for at least 500 years, carlin peas are traditionally eaten as parched peas in Lancashire, grey peas in the Black Country, and served on Carlin Sunday in Yorkshire.

Cooked carlin peas have a good firm texture and can be used in place of chickpeas or dark green lentils. They're great in soups, stews, curries and salad, pairing well with roast vegetables.
