Ecoworks is pleased to offer a workshop experience day on Saturday the 10th of October, from 10-4pm at Ecoworks Community Gardens in the Strawbale House on the Hungerhill Allotments in St.Anns.

You will: use a variety of willow to weave a round tray basket. In this course, which is suitable for beginners, we will carefully take you through the process of weaving a round base, adding side stakes and weaving then finishing with a simple border. You will learn to make a round slath base with paired weave followed by the basket sides in waling finishing with a trac or rod border. The skills learned are the foundation on which further basketry can be learned.

You will also be provided with a two course gourmet seasonal vegetarian lunch from the allotment organically grown fruit and vegetable from our allotment chef. Dietary requirements can be catered for, please email info@ecoworks.org.uk

There is a maximum number of 8 people and the price is fully refundable should the course need to be cancelled.
