Bill the Butcher - Back Bacon Golden Rind Smoked 227 G
|1 x 227g
The Keen family has farmed in Wiltshire for many generations. Born and raised at Sandridge Farm, Roger followed in his fathers footsteps, and today grows mostly grain on 350 acres. This grain, together with yoghurt, beer and cider yeast are milled at the farm, providing a well balanced diet for their pigs, free from artifical hormones, growth promoters and routine anti-biotics.
The first question a new customer asks of their bacon is often ‘does it have any added water?’ The answer is no! they guarantee it will sizzle, not drizzle in your frying pan. It takes three weeks to cure, and they often say that time is such an important (and these days such a rare and expensive) ingredient, that they should put it on the label. Their Wiltshire Cure has a sweet flavour, mellowed by time. The Golden Rind Bacon is naturally smoked over oak and beech for two days, when you cook it, the kitchen will be filled with an appetising smokey aroma, the perfect wake-up call on a Sunday morning.
