What are microgreens?
Well, they are just a miniature version of normal veg, but picked when they are young and tender seedlings (bigger than a sprout and smaller than a baby leaf), harvested when they are between 7 and 14 days old, just as the true leaves start to appear.
They are packed full of vitamins and minerals and come in a variety of flavours from nutty to spicy, to perk up any mealtime. We grow them indoors, so they will be available all year round, and we promise that we will only ever choose the very best untreated Organic Certified seeds and compost.
We have chosen a mix of five of our favourite microgreens, to provide you not only with a variety of tastes textures and visual interest, but also a wide range of nutritional benefits.
Our current mix contains the following microgreens, Broccoli, Red Cabbage, Peas, Radish and Sunflowers.
Microgreens are best stored in the fridge in an airtight container, and will stay at their best for at least 7 days. Our bags are actually made from vegetables! and are completely compostable, so you can put them on your own compost heap or into your green waste Council recycling bin.
