The happy forager
Is a small independent business offering both locally cultivated and hand picked edible wild mushrooms. You may have seen our stall at the frome indipendent or local farmers markets as we started tradeing locally in 2021 after Dan spent a number of years as a professional forager, suppling wild ingredients to the restaurant industry both locally and nationally including some of the country's top chefs and television productions.
Our cultivated mushrooms are grown in small batches for quality near midsomer norton with our range covering both day to day fresh mushrooms like chestnut Mushrooms to the more Exotic mushrooms used in asian cooking. We also offer a broad range of seasonal wild edible mushrooms both fresh and dried that are difficult to obtain from supermarkets. These being seasonal our range spans from the peppy fruity flavours of Chanterelle to the more refined black truffle that are all hand selected sustainably locally and nationally from fields to forrests where permission has been granted to harvest.
