Welcome to Sri Spice! My name is Thea Samuel and I have been making Sri Lankan-style curry kits - by hand, to my own unique recipes, in Fife, Scotland since May 2015.
My recipes are based around Sri Lankan ingredients such as curry and pandan leaves, coconut, cardamoms etc but are not traditional as I love playing around with spices and was never good at sticking to recipes.
The kits all contain whole spices, leaves and freshly ground and/or roasted spices. I also include optional extra chilli in the main kits for those who like them hot.
The kits take a lot of time to make and are a real labour of love.
I make my own curry powders (roasted and unroasted) which I then mix with other ground spices such as turmeric, chilli etc. I dehydrate the pandan leaves, gently crush the cardamoms , grind and blend the ground spices, measure out the whole spices spoon by spoon and cut up the dried leaves ready to put into the kits.
Healthy and easily made, they are naturally gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan-friendly - and can also be used with meat or fish. All you need to do is open the bag, enjoy the fresh aroma - then follow our easy to use recipe card.
