Primary is a Nottingham-based arts organisation, which supports artistic research and production through the provision of over 40 studio and workshop spaces, and an innovative public programme. Our Grade II listed building is home to independent artists, workshops including clay, weave, and design, galleries, the Small Food Bakery, and Primary Gardens. Our public programme includes artists residencies, exhibitions, performances and events, skillshares and workshops, and long term projects with local communities in Radford and Lenton.
Primary is working with Neighbourfood to host weekly pick-ups, and support the increased demand during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are coordinating the Pay-it-Forward scheme to provide fresh food to local organisations. We are also supporting our resident artists to sell through the market.
