Welcome to the Megginch Castle NeighbourFood Market in the heart of the Carse of Gowrie.
For those not in the know, this is the beautiful lowlands peppered by orchards, soft fruit farms, arable and rich pasture land, stretching between Perth and Dundee, bordered by the Silvery Tay to the South and sheltered by the Braes of the Carse to the North.
Every week our excellent local farmers, growers, bakers, makers and creators list their awesome products on our market page. You can buy as much, or as little, as you like online from Friday through to Tuesday evening. Then come and collect it from here at Megginch Castle on Thursday afternoon between 4pm and 6pm from the Carriage House within the cobbled 18th century courtyard (where parts of the 90's film, Rob Roy were filmed!)
The NeighbourFood online Market is a great way to avoid busy, enclosed shops and supermarkets at the same time as supporting Local Businesses, with over 90p of every £1 you spend staying in the local economy.
It is free to join, there really is no commitment to buy each week with freshly baked local bread and pastries, vegetables lifted from the ground 10 miles away, milk slightly further afield from a remote Island Community, seasonal meat including wild game, rare breed Herdwick sheep who graze the fields at Megginch, beef and more sheep from the nearby Glens, dairy and gluten free cakes, chocolates with Highland flavours hand made in small batches, exquisitely scented hand-made soaps, diverse small-batch home made organic chutneys, the list of different and delicious things is huge, so do have a look!
